Proper Sound respect your privacy and are committed to protecting and ensuring that we look after the personal data you share with us and that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how we use the information you give us, how we keep it safe and secure and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of or remove that information.

We may update this Policy from time to time so please check this page periodically to ensure that you are happy with any changes. By using our website you are agreeing to be bound by this policy.

In this privacy policy references to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ are to Proper Sound the controller and responsible for your personal data.

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk).   • Personal data or information, means any information about someone from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed for example anonymous data.

    We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you such as:

    • Identity information includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.

    • Contact information includes address, email address and telephone numbers.

    • Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details.

  • When you register with us or request any of our services we need to know:

    • Your name, postal address and post code. We need this to register any contract between us and send any formal documents by email or post as and when required.

    • Your telephone number(s). For continued communications, or if there are any problems, or we need to check anything, we need to be able to contact you quickly.

    • Your email address(es). As with the above we use email addresses for regular communication and in the near future to submit invoices.

    If you have agreed to receive marketing communications these may also be sent by email or post.

    We gather this information to allow us to process your registration, communicate with you and process sales. The relevant information is then retained by Proper Sound unless you instruct us to remove it. 

    If you write to us we may keep a record of the correspondence.

    From time to time we may provide your information to our customer service agencies for research and analysis purposes so that we can monitor and improve the services we provide.     These cookies are necessary. A ‘cookie’ is a small text file that is placed on a user’s computer hard drive by a website.     Whilst we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data, it should be noted that we cannot guarantee the security of any personal data that you transfer over the internet to us.

  • How long will you use my personal data for?

    We will not keep your personal information for any purpose for longer than is necessary and will only retain the personal information that is necessary in relation to the purpose of transacting business with you. We are also required to retain certain information as required by law or for as long as is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions.

    In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

    We may retain your data for a short time beyond the specified retention period, to allow for information to be reviewed and any deletion to take place. In some instances, laws may require Sandbach Masonic Hall to hold certain information for specific periods other than that listed above.

    • You have the right to object to us using your personal data for marketing purposes. We do not sell or share your personal data with any third parties who will use it for marketing purposes. 

    • You have the right to complain to the ICO if you consider that our processing of your personal data breaches the data protection regulations that are in force at that time.

  • When you submit your information, we will specifically request that you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy.

    If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times. If you do not agree with any such changes you can withdraw your consent as set out under ‘Your rights’ above.
